BIG MARTECH
Big Martech required a logo, style guide and cover art for their new podcast series on Spotify and Youtube. Referencing the expansive nature of the martech industry, the word ‘Big’ has been emphasised in its stretched, three-dimensional form, that comes together with ‘Martech’ to create a box-like shape. This, again, correlates to the martech industry where you often buy software ‘packages’. The colour palette was inspired by the ‘tech aesthetic’ and the accompanying typefaces complement the bold logo, creating a coherent brand.

FASHION ACT NOW
For just over two years I volunteered as a graphic designer/content creator for the activist group Fashion Act Now. “Fashion Act Now is on a mission to bring the concepts of defashion and post-fashion, which encompass commoning and degrowth, into the mainstream discourse.” Together they coined the term ‘defashion,’ which describes the role that Fashion must urgently play in degrowth in the face of climate and ecological emergency. My role was to help design captivating digital content for their social channels to drive awareness, engagement and action.

These three icons were designed for a personal styling service, Lotte.V1, created by Sam Weir. Each hand-drawn flower depicts the three core values of Lotte.V1- care, expertise and ease. The azalea for ‘care’, spider ophrys for ‘expertise’ and azure bluets for ‘ease’. They have appeared across Lotte’s digital content, website and EDM’s.

A PART OF NATURE
‘A Part of Nature’ is an exploration into our current state of disconnect from nature and the devastation this is causing within ourselves and our environment. With the aim of raising awareness of our interconnectedness as being a part of nature, rather then our current conscience of being apart from, people will hopefully be inspired to take action to help combat the climate emergency we all currently face.
Quotes from notable environmentalists accompany scanner imagery of plant life slowly degrading behind the suffocating plastic wrap. The progressive decay of plant material illustrates the continual human led destruction of the Earth and alludes to the potentially catastrophic consequences of continuing to perceive ourselves as seperate from nature.
